We also assess the feet for any medical issues and can refer to appropriate treatment for any issues beyond our scope. We also provide education to improve self-care and foot comfort. We are held to a high standard for disinfection and sterilization of instruments.
Yes, we process all instruments in an autoclave, or steam sterilizer, which is the "gold standard" for sterilization and goes beyond the CDC recommendation of high level disinfection. Clippers are individually packaged to prevent contamination after sterilization.
No! We can treat the roughest calluses and toughest toenails. We are trained to appropriately treat high risk feet including diabetics and provide gentle care to help prevent complications. If there are any issues that are beyond our scope, we will refer you to the appropriate care.
